Bowers Harbor Vineyards is a mostly outdoor winery with an open seating policy. We have a large pavilion and an indoor bar area that is seasonally reserved for our Wine Club members. There are seating options in and around the vines for a true vineyard experience. In the winter months, we have a large communal fire pit and heated options as well.
Bowers Harbor Vineyards offers wine by the glass and pre-selected flights. We only accept card payments, no cash, due to liability reasons of being an outdoor location.
Reservations are not required but are strongly recommended Friday-Sunday, as tables are weather-dependent; this will help ensure a dry spot to sit if it rains. (group size dependent).
Of course, we are a truly dog-friendly vineyard, so be sure to bring Fluffy with you!

Wine Library
Over his three decades in the wine industry, Spencer Stegenga, the proprietor of Bowers Harbor Vineyards, has visited many of the great wine regions of the world. From the beginning, Spencer had the foresight to set aside cases of wine from each vintaged that warranted special attention. The result is one of the largest (if not the largest!) wine library maintained by any northern Michigan winery.

Along the hills and beaches on Old Mission Peninsula, there are as many orchards as vineyards. Nature gives us many gifts, with a time and season to enjoy each one.

Vineyard Tours
A vine to wine explanation of the Bowers Harbor Vineyard operation, as well as a discussion of the Michigan wine region. This one-hour tour is intended to be an informational session where guests can interact, ask questions, and leave with additional wine knowledge while also having fun!
